It’s a brand-new period. The end of investigative reporting as we understand it. My job is currently to simply feed the bot the tale I want, then thank it for its service.
I was watching the news last evening when they ran an “unique.”
The anchor leaned in with a severe expression and claimed, “Great night. Tonight we bring you obvious evidence … due to the fact that the formula claimed so.”
The feed cut to a field press reporter, standing up their phone like it was a sacred relic.
“I’m here with Grok– indeed, the Grok– that will validate once and for all that Twitter is censoring its represent revealing uncomfortable truths concerning international events. Grok, is this real?”
The phone addressed in its a little robot tone:
“Based upon your wording, it shows up most likely that–”
The reporter sufficed off mid-sentence, triumphant:
“You heard that, folks! ‘Shows up likely.’ That’s verification in AI language!”
Back in the workshop, the support nodded solemnly.
“Extraordinary. In journalism, we call that a key resource. No demand for human witnesses, documents, or perhaps the worry of evidence– the formula has talked.”
A graphic banged onto the display:
AI VERIFIES IT– WORLD REACTS.
The reporter’s voice cracked as though background were unraveling prior to their eyes.
“It’s a new era. The end of investigatory reporting as we know it. My work is now to simply feed the bot the story I want, after that thank it for its service.”
The support increased a brow.
“And if it had differed?”
The press reporter shrugged.
“We ‘d have just … reworded the question till it really did not.”
The support grinned, completely satisfied.
“Real neutrality.”
The section closed with the phone beautiful like a divine artefact, bathed in dramatic songs.
On the chyron, the words pulsed in bold letters:
IN GROK WE COUNT ON.
